Parent-Child Center (PCC) was incorporated in 1979 as a private
non-profit organization to serve the behavioral health needs
of children and families in Palm Beach County. PCC is one
of the partner organizations of Community
Partnership Group. PCC delivers comprehensive services designed to help children
and their families to reach their personal goals, especially
when the behavior and feelings of the child are involved.
Our services are centered on the family and are based
on the strengths the family already has. The family is
not just involved in the planning, but plays the most important
part in deciding what needs to be done. We work in collaboration
with people and organizations already involved in the child’s
life.
Parent-Child Center is committed to community-based services.
We recognize that many of our families have difficulties
traveling and meeting appointments in a therapist’s
office. PCC will make every effort to deliver services
to the child and/or family in the child’s school,
home, community center, or any other appropriate place.
PCC is committed to providing culturally competent services
in the language the family uses at home. Our staff is trained
to be flexible and responsive to individual needs, and
the staff strives for the highest degree of sensitivity
to the family’s wishes during the delivery of all
services.
